SCENE I
SETTING: JAKOBS bedroom. A bed is center stage. A desk and chair are next to the bed. Two backpacks sit next to the bed.
AT RISE: JAKOB and ZAC are laying next to each-other on the bed when the scene begins. They are in their underwear. "It's been a while" by Staind plays on a radio on the desk.
JAKOB
(HE sighs)
Do you think somewhere moments like these last forever. I wouldn't mind dying now, right here next to you.
ZAC
(HE smiles)
Shut up! Do you always gotta be so deep man?
JAKOB
(HE turns over to face ZAC and winks.)
I thought that was why you liked me.
ZAC
(HE laughs)
Well that's one reason.
(HE grabs JAKOBS

SCENE I
SETTING: A bar in New York City. A few stools are at a bar counter stage center which is facing the audience. AT Rise: SARAH is sitting at a stool facing the bar.
ROGER
(sits next to SARAH)
So what are you doing all alone tonight sweet thing? Get in a fight with your boyfriend?
SARAH
I don't have a boyfriend.
ROGER
Well is that so? Looks like it's my lucky night tonight.
SARAH

Maybe I'm gonna be the lucky one tonight. You know what. I think you're exactly what I n
The Crack House
I'm at the local crack house. The waiting room is full of old Mexican women who I imagine have no problems, but are rather stuck in some stage of adolescence.
There are a few paintings on the wall. One of a happy couple dancing together on a beach. The woman is wearing a red dress and the man a tuxedo. There are rain clouds in the distance. A French maid and a butler hold umbrellas over them. The couple looks so happy and I immediately think the painting has no place here. No one who comes here is happy. We're all just looking for the cure to what ails us.

EQUALS
You walk around in designer jeans
and I laugh because it matters so much to you.
You forget, but i know
that Death will not care what you are wearing
when he comes to pick you up for your date.
You brag about having the latest cellphone
or the fastest car.
But the money in your wallet will turn to dust.
The car will break down and rust
while you lay sleeping 6ft under.
You stare at yourself in the mirror
making sure your makeup is done right
that your hair is perfect
that your skin is tight.
You laugh and joke at the outcasts
at the poor and the ugly.
You forget, but i know
in death we are all the equal.
to save her...
her blood is red like mine but we don't bleed the same.
in the darkness of the night i can hear her call my name.
a whisper in my ear makes the moments that much clearer
(i can't stand to watch you waste your life,
don't live this lie my dear.)
to save her i'd betray her but i don't want to bruise her
to save her i should hate her but i just can't stand to lose her.
her eyes are dead like mine but we don't see the same.
i try to keep hold of her hand but she takes my love in vain.
and i kan't remember if she tried, yesterday, to take the truth i meant to give
but no one knows the way i do that we're all dying just to

The room is dark and i can feel his body against mine. The rhythmic rise and fall of his chest against my back. Our naked bodies pressed against one another and the feeling of the sheets over us.
The fan spins around and around. I listen to it's sound and the sound of his breathing. He's asleep. But i can't sleep. I can never sleep.
His arm is around me and i pull it even closer. I nuzzle against it. I love him. I love him. I love him more than i've ever loved anyone. So how can i leave him?
He slowly wakes and kisses my neck. I turn around to feel his lips pressing against mine. It's a kiss that feels like heaven on earth. Soft and gentle
